An agreement signed by Bahria Town & University of Iqra

Recently, Iqra University signed an agreement with the management of Bahria Town to formally open its Bahria Town Karachi campus. This agreement was concluded on January 17th, 2020. The Founding Chancellor of the IU, Mr. Hunaid Lakhani, and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Wasim Qazi are the participants in this signing ceremony.

In addition, Dr. Kamran Raza, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, and Ms. Kaif Ghaznavi, Head of the Department of Media Science Department (HoD), were also present at the site.

This agreement was signed between Khalid Mahmood, Senior General Manager of the Bahria Town Karachi (Retired) Brigadier, and Mr. Lakhani. However, via video conferencing, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bahria Town, Malik Riaz, also attended the meeting.

He explains the meeting and describes it as a happy start of the New Year with landmark progress in the education sector. He further stated that this new Iqra University campus will not only play an exemplary role in Pakistan’s education sector but will also fulfill the needs of locals for high-quality education.

The management of Iqra University, meanwhile, also announced that this will be the first campus in Pakistan where all faculty members from abroad will be included. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Wasim Qazi also told the guests that 15 members of the international faculty had already been recruited for the new campus.
